MD523 Bogie Dynamic Analysis

Overview

Built a detailed multibody dynamics model of the MD523 bogie in ADAMS/Rail and simulated its behavior across 4 distinct rail quality classes (from well-maintained to degraded track).

The model was constructed from manufacturing documents and included a full passenger car as the representative wagon. The simulations characterized ride comfort, stability limits, and wheel-rail contact forces under realistic operating conditions, providing data for future design improvements.
